I was fortunate to have a thick glass between me and the animal but when seh turned and looked at me I was sure she could see me and pass her feelings to my image...

that was the reason for the photo... he looked at us with such saddness through the glass that broke our hearts... The glass was dirt form all the people outside and the gorillas inside touching it yet the angle was right and the eyes (almost watery) came out clear...

When I was a kid my parents took me to the zoo a few times. I just cried. Looking at the enaimals in the cages broke my heart. It still does.
