I know it is all black and white with little gray but that was the intention.I just want the feeling of sadness...

I was fortunate to have a thick glass between me and the animal but when seh turned and looked at me I was sure she could see me and pass her feelings to my image...

well there was a glass between us but if you focus well and watch for light reflections you can make it invisible.
You got to take your time with zoos (with all the people passing by and the animals moving) but it is very rewarding

that was the reason for the photo... he looked at us with such saddness through the glass that broke our hearts... The glass was dirt form all the people outside and the gorillas inside touching it yet the angle was right and the eyes (almost watery) came out clear...

When I was a kid my parents took me to the zoo a few times. I just cried. Looking at the enaimals in the cages broke my heart. It still does.

Well some are better protected there... and get lots of love and care and food... you just have to look at the bright side of things...
