Closest hand is translucent but not the second one.

Yeah I just tried again to make the back hand translucent but I took thee photos and the one with just the back hand, in order to be see though the top half, the part that isn't covered by the front hand would have to disappear almost completely... ugggg. Do you know much about photoshop?

Try using multiple layers and changing the translucence. Ie, take one of the piano, and one of the hands, then shift the opacity level down of the top layer (with the hands) down.

That's what I did but for the top part of the hand is on two of the layers so it has the combined opacity of both of those layers... and if I reduce the front hand and back hand enough for the back hand to be translucent they both all but disappear. I have the file open right now and am tinkering with it...

Erase the hand on one of the layers so you don't get a double-over.

I took three photos and over laid them in photoshop so I could get some transparency on the back hand as well.

Wow, I love the fading effect on the shadows beneath the hands, and the fact that the keys under the hands are down just a little bit from the keys that aren't (if I'm making sense at all).
I need to start commenting on your pictures more often. You are a good photographer/special effects... uh... artist? Not sure if that phrase applies here.

Good idea. It might have turned out okay, but best not to take any chances, right?

Well, at least you experimented before settling on just one. Though I am kind of curious as to how the other turned out.
