Two of my close friends and I recently watched Madoka Magica together, and began to think about what kind of character she would be in that story. This slowly inspired me to create my own character as well, and so Murasaki Yuumai came to be.

It's funny you should mention that, actually... Last year my classmates and I created this ''Love simulator game'' version of ourselves. Basically we created the characters we would be in a Love Simulator based on our class.
My character was a otaku yandere who wore megane glasses and cat ears. She's easy to spot (second character from the left):Β

WhatΒ can I say. Megane and Neko Ears are make someone oh so much cuter.
But a Yandere, probably gonna stay away from that one, even if she is adorable. I've played enough Yandere Simulator to know how that always turns out.
Also, there's some cool software I've seen online that makes it easy to actually make a Love Simulator Game. You might want to look into that.

I know right? She has to be the most poofiest and snuggliest Maho Shoujo ever! She also has a nice personality too, and her ability is neat (she can make her shield float and grow in order to protect others in need).
However, she's also rather sensitive emotionally, according to kamon-san , but still ever so lovable.

So, you can sort of relate with her then I see. She reminds me in ways of Hinaichigo from Rozen Maiden, except Hinaichigo wasn't much of a protector, but her other aspects were similar.

Does Saki have any unique powers or abilities to her, other than the abilities that all the Maho Shoujos have at the start (such their ability to summon their weapons at will and their Semi-Immortality and such)? Like does she have any powers unique to herself but the others don't have, (like how some such as Mami and Homura have unique abilities such as the Ribbons and Time Control etc), or is her's just the powers that all Maho Shoujos have? I know some do have unique powers, but others aren't as lucky and are stuck with only the ones all of them have (such as Kyouko and Sayaka).
You never told me if Saki has any unique powers or not, and I as curious as to if she did. Does she or does she not?

Saki's main special abilities revolve around her heart-shaped shield which can expend to any size to block attacks, or even completely shield her and her friends from harm (though this uses a lot of magic).
Saki actually has another special feature that resulted from her wish: she can't give up. No matter how desperate the situation gets, she wished to have the courage to never run away, and so because of that she can be quite reckless sometimes. She also has a bad tendency to take hits for her friends, because of her old habit of protecting the other students from bullies.
Overall, we can say her character/magic mostly revolve around the idea of protecting your friends.

I have to agree with you. She literally is the most cutest and fluffiest and sweetest Magical Girl I have ever seen. No other Magical Girl is nearly as adorable as Murasaki Yumai.
