Meet Jo Ayara, one of 's original Puella Magi Madoka Magica characters.
She is quite the adorable Puella Magi and she has a very unique ability. She was a lot of fun to draw, and I'm thinking of drawing a few crossover pictures with some of his other characters and Witches for fun. (^^)

That's very kind.
I think the reason I've been feeling rather insecure is that for the last 3 years I studied animation with a bunch of other artists. Being surrounded by such talented people made me strive to improve daily and try to catch up, but I also found out I didn't like making animation at all. I eventually left the program and decided to move on, though I still draw (of course).
The thing is, I'm already 29 and I've been drawing for years, but it just seems like my art is stagnating and not kicking off... I love to draw, I take great fun in it and I love to share the stories I come up with, but... seeing as my stuff never really caught on, I'm just feeling...mediocre? Like the very best I ever accomplished was mediocre at best? It makes me feel like someone no one would remember. It makes no sense, I don't even want to be popular, it's just...maybe I just wished sometimes my drawings got more of a reaction with people, like everytime I throw a drawing out there I secretely hope someone will bite and finally ''get it''.

By the way, have you seen Felicia? I saw on your page that you've played Fire Emblem, so I figured you'd be familiar with her. If you have, I think you'd see how they are similar. Both of them are Maids who use magic and know how to fight. Though I certainly hope that Jo is not as clumsy as Felicia is.

Hey, this is Hexi's Magical Girl! Wow, nice to see you like his stuff. I'm an old friend of his too.
I've seen Jo too, and I must admit, she's way too cute. What could be more adorable than a cuddly doll-like Maid with Magical Powers?
You should draw something of one of your Magical Girls doing something like pulling her apart and rearranging her body parts and mixing and matching them. That would be nice to see of her.

Um, I can see where you're getting there, but I'd rather not see that sort of thing happen to Jo, and she is My character after all. For two reasons.
1. Her brackets aren't really designed to be stuck on areas where they aren't supposed to be. Like her arms can't be stuck to her legs and such. The only exception is putting her arms/legs on backwards, which she keeps from happening with the L and R labels on them.
2. As much as Jo loves removing her own limbs and sticking them back in place over and over, I don't think she would enjoy getting rearranged, to the point where she looks something like a human version of Mangle from FNaF2. Nor would I want to see Jo like that either.
But yeah, she is mega adorable and cuddly!

Say, I'd like to mention that I am glad that you like Jo the best out of my three Maho Shoujo characters. I'm a bit surprised that you like her the most though, especially since you said before that she's a little disturbing in ways, and I personally figured you'd like Rika more at first, but I guess I was wrong. I did not expect to hear that from you, but it's still good though.
She is rather neat and unique though, compared to most others though, and makes the storyline even more interesting too, and she's cute and adorable to the max! Though pretty much any cute little sweetie in a Maid Outfit is mega-ultra adorable and lovable!
By the way, I really don't like considering Jo's detaching trick to be a "unique ability." For technically, any one of the Maho Shoujos could do the limbs-detaching thing that she does, due to how they can't die unless the Soul Gem gets destroyed or stays out of range for too long. Jo is just thinking outside the box and using this power of resistance to fatal harm in a more creative manner than the others do, although she's not the only Maho Shoujo who could do this if they wanted to though.
I like to refer to it more as a "unique trick" or a "unique skill," since it's a special ability that all the Maho Shoujos possess, but she's just using it in a way that's different from how most of the others use it. Not that it's a big deal or anything, but I just wanted to point that out to you.
Plus, I recently noticed that her Maid Outfit fits into her limbs-detaching skill in another way, which also works well too. It also fits because whenever her body falls apart, she is certainly very good at "cleaning herself up!"

I don't really see how she looks like Ichigo. Her hairstyle and body shape is different, she has no kitten ears or tail, her overall color scheme is supposed to be mostly gray, but not pink (even when colored in), and her Powered Up outfit is much different (as in its a Maid Outfit). She also has way different powers and persona and such.
I really don't know how you make that comparison. Jo is barely anything like Ichigo.

Well other than that, she isn't very much like Sakuya, and even on that feature, her Maid Outfit is a much different kind of Maid Outfit (such as Sakuya's lacks things such as an open back, lacing on the stomach, and some other things, and its a different color too). Nothing wrong with that though, but just wanted to point that out. Also, I was not inspired by Sakuya for her either (she's technically my character and Kamon-San just drew her here).

J'honnêtement ne vois pas comment elle ressemble à Ichigo. Ichigo a une forme et une coiffure différentes de corps, a des oreilles de chaton, est principalement rose et non gris, et n'utilise pas habituellement un équipement de domestique. Je ne vois pas où vous trouvez la similitude à elle dedans.
Je suis heureux vous l'aime cependant, elle est techniquement mon caractère. Je suis également heureux que vous aimez son arme magique de fille cependant, son plutôt unique et vraiment frais aussi.

I never saw the original design of you're character. I'm sure it's unique and original. However, Kamon-san's version reminded me a lot of Ichigo when she works at her café. Google it and you'll see. She has a similar uniform and hair style.
It's like Kamon-san's Alice. She's unique. However, I saw this character slowly change each time Kamon-san discovered a new style he liked. So Alice, although unique, is a mixture of many other inspiration.
I'm sorry if my comment seemed negative, but I was only pointing out that Kamon-san tends to draw maids, or maid-like uniform that way. He and I liked Tokyo Mew Mew a lot, so I can tell his inspiration came from this anime.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to many more ideas and art from you two!

I've seen Ichigo before, and I find her to be cute, but I still don't think Jo looks that much like her. I did not find your comment to be negative at all, but I just didn't think she looks very similar. Sorry if it sounded that way. I'm not that good at speaking french, and merely used a translation program to type it in that way. May have made it sound worse though.

I like the way you drew her. She looks so fluffy and cute the way you did it, which is exactly what she is. I was wondering at first where her Soul Gem is and the Neck-Bracket that keeps her head attached, but I see that the pose she's in now would make it hard to see them, so its understandable. I was aware that you find Jo to be likeable, but apparently you must like her more than I thought. Thanks.
So you said you want to draw more with her, possibly involving your Maho Shoujos? I'm okay with that, just don't make her look out of character or bad or anything, and such. I'd love to see what she'd be like with them. In fact, I'm now thinking of drawing some scenes of yours alongside with her and Rika, if you don't mind that is.
BTW, are you thinking of drawing her friend, Rika Isoni at all? Rika is still rather good too.
And also, if you do more, please do a bunch of Jo's unique skill, where she splits her body into pieces and has them move individually. Its pretty much one of her most used and favorite skills, even though technically, her unique special powers are her energy blasts and her weapons such as her needle blades. She just tends to fall apart regularly like no one's business, and when she's done, she just puts herself back together with little trouble. I'd love to see some more of that, and how the others would do around her while she does this.

Well, either with Rika or Jo, or both. Or perhaps when I finish the 3rd one in mine, Haruka Conley, her too. It will take some time though (I don't draw nearly as fast as you do), but I'll try to get them done as soon as I can.
