Requested by RocKSpaMYou can add MGS to the list of big-name series that I still haven't played, but it just doesn't look like my kind of stealth game, I prefer Sly Cooper and Thief stealth.

I didn't like the Twin Mares so much. Twilight's voiceover wasn't as good and they made Liquid Trixie into some kind of supervillain.

One series of games that made stealth fun was the No one Lives forever series.
By sneaking around you get to hear funny conversations that you would not get if you just barged in. One time I heard this guy try to sell a monkey to an enemy. Another time one minion wanted to fight my char but he had to go to the bathroom. I used to do stealth just for the conversations.
Crysis does stealth the best, you can do it and its great but if you mess up you have a good chance of shooting your way free. In thief the guards were stronger and there was a good chance of getting messed up.

I tried to install NOLF 2 on my win 7 machine and it installed but I could not
get any of the voices in the cutscenes.
The spoken stuff is important to this game.
If you can't hear the dialog for this game, its not worth playing.
NOLF also has multiplayer and that was fun, can do missions with people online.
I remember being killed a lot by mimes with tommyguns.
Not sure if the multiplayer is any good now.
Maybe GOG has a version that works in win 7?
If you have XP you should be able to play it with no problems.
There are 3 in the series. 1 and 2 have a main char called Cate Archer, then they had a guy
for the 3rd one but the humor was mostly gone by then.
Its an old series so I wish you luck finding it.
