They are, but maybe you'll be able to find one used ... which I'm sure is still pricey, but it'd be less expensive than a brand new one. If I were you, I'd hold off getting one until/unless the PS3 goodies are confirmed to be available to Xboxers as downloadable content. There's no reason why it can't be DLC; and while you'd still have to pay, it'd be cheaper than getting a whole new console system.

I'm not so hot about the new Patty character, though. Her battle style is pretty much ripped from the Pirate class in Radiant Mythology 2, and I can't imagine them wanting to revise half the game because of the addition of a new character. I still want Flynn as a permanent, developed character. Foooooo.

For the new stuff, Repede should be able to be the onscreen character.

Magic. jk. But it wouldn't be impossible. Repede's already shown himself to be remarkably intelligent, using a dagger and using items on people who need them. He even takes down opposition at all the right times (like in order to keep the gate open at Deidon Hold), so I don't think it'd be outrageous for him to prop himself on his hind legs, lean on the wall and turn a door knob with his mouth.

Or the screen can just either momentarily black out and show the opened door, or just show the next character stacked after Repede opening it.

It's been confirmed that Repede's onscreen now (trailer), so they would have to figure out a way for him to open doors. Or use the Sorcerer's Ring.

Repede just got ten times more epic~

Mieu and Noishe are semi-useful. You can ride Noishe, and Mieu's your Sorcerer's Ring. Giet is the most useless of them all. I was so excited to have Moses in my party, cause I thought Giet would fight alongside him, like when he fought Senel & Co, but nope ...

Really? Too bad Quickie can't shape shift like Cupil 8D Zapy (from Rebirth) doesn't do much either, does he? Except recognize Claire. Mormo (Radiant Mythology) is somewhat useful, as he speaks for your Descender.

But if I can be truthful about my pairings in Eternia... I really don't like the Reid/Farah and Keele/Meredy pairings much... To me it just seems more natural to have Reid/Meredy and Keele/Farah... Both of the canon pairings in Eternia make about as much sense to me as Senel/Shirley...

Reid/Meredy for the whole "girl falling outta the sky" bit? Like Vyse and Fina, and Dean and Avril (Wild ARMs 5, not sure if you played that). I've never played Eternia, though I did watch a bit of the anime, which is only 13 episodes long and so accurate. I like Farah, though I'm not sure if I like Reid/Farah. The whole tough chick keeping her boyfriend in line is a bit stale for me.

All I know about Keele is that he's the summoner and likes studying (I think?). Maybe he likes Meredy for the scholarly value her knolwedge brings (what with knowing a different language and such?). I'unno.

Senel/Shirley does get a little awkward, but their sibling thing was probably just a cover-up they started using when they were trying to evade Vaclav's army. I'm not sure how Chloe ended up liking Senel ... it just seemed to happen out of nowhere. If it was for the whole Senel saving her from drowning, I will headdesk. It probably wasn't. I think it must have happened little by little.

At least Senel/Shirley would've have all the baggage Ruca/Iria would have in Tales of Innocence (they were lovers in a previous life, with Iria ending up betraying Ruca, which led to their deaths. Ouch). I think I like Iria/Spada more. SPADA~ He's the only other real twin blader besides Lloyd.

Also, today I went into the Labyrinth of Memories in Vesperia ... like ten times. All on Easy Mode, because there were bosses from various points in the game. Since my party got up to level 70, I decided to start playing on normal to start racking up Grade, and I had to run into Alexei who just had to kill me with a billion BRILLIANT CATACLYSMS.

I hate Alexei. I'm glad he got smooshed under Zaude's core. And the star Brave Vesperia ... that's not a star, is it? In the Zaude cutscene where it shows the Adephagos in the sky, the BV star looks like a floating blastia, a companion piece to Zaude.

Personally I like Chloe, I didn't like Shirley because she's all whiney... Chloe's a badass, I think the way she feels about Senel evolved from an understanding they developed early on... The earliest sign of it was probably him saving her from drowning and keeping his promise not to tell anyone... Senel and Shirley killed their chances by claiming each other to be brother and sister...

As for Spada, I'm not sure but my mind puts him with Ange a lot... For Ruca and Iria, the baggage can be overcome... Spada and Ange didn't even know each other in their previous lives so a relationship could very easily develop...

And yes I have played Wild Arms 5, I have to say I like Avril a lot better than Rebecca, all she seems to do is lecture Dean... What guy in his right mind likes to be lectured?

Yes, I like DeanxAvril way more than DeanxRebecca. If Chuck weren't so hung-up on Lucille (and he did kind of let her go), they could try their chances. Chuck's kinda mellow, and Rebecca's fiery. Greg's old and prolly isn't looking for dates, haha. The ending made me mad, though ... Dean finally finds out how Avril felt about him, and he's stuck with not the Avril who loves him, but the Ice Queen who wanted to destroy all native life on Filgaia. Cheers.

I don't know if you have a PSP (or if anyone uploaded the cutscenes on YouTube or anywhere else), but Wild ARMs XF is a reallllllyyyy good game. Story and gameplay. Yummy. Recruitable cameos like Dean and Virginia and such would have been wonderful, but alas, no recruitable cameos. Foo.

Someone is working on the script, but I think I remember you saying you didn't like reading just a script of something.

Overall I don't think I like Shirley much... She's the least powerful Crystal-Eren, so she's actually a Crystal version of Jay... Personally I'd like to see Csaba, Walter, Fenimore, and Stella as playables, but the whole Senel-lovetriangle thing would get even more complicated... Not to mention Will would be spending a lot of time bashing Senel and Walter upside their fatheads...

I started playing Star Ocean: The Last Hope, i don't know if you've ever played it but Im like Holy Similar! It has almost the exact same look and feel to it as Tales of Vesperia...

I love Shirley, so I'm not even going to go there. Yeah, Stella playable would get the stupid love triangle more complicated than it already is, and it is quite complicated, though a decisive chica like Chloe deserves better than wishy-washy Senel.

I've watched almost the whole game on YouTube. It doesn't look exactly like Tales of Vesperia--for one, the art graphic styles are totally different. ToV has anime cel-shaded style, and SO4 has stylized CG, not realistic, but not anime. I've seen battles, but of course I have no idea what it's like to actually play. I've only played Star Ocean: Til the End of Time.

It might feel a lot like Vesperia, because of the whole 3D battle system, though Star Ocean had Free Run first. I don't think it matters who had it first; what matters is how well they pull it off.

I don't think I'd buy it, maybe rent it. I like Reimi (Marta's voice lol!) and Faize ("Maybe my translator's not working."). I like the Welch of SO3 better. Welch of SO4 is a beast D8

In a randomly offbeat question, in a fight between Marta and Estelle, who would win? (MARTA ) Yuri would totally beat Emil senseless.

I hated Til the End of Time... That's why I was reluctant to get The Last Hope for the longest time... I finally gave in and got it...

As for who I think would win, Estelle... She has a better Mystic Arte and don't forget Emil and Marta don't have overlimits. Also Marta only has a spinner for attacking and blocking, Estelle uses a sword and a shield.

Marta also has insane speedcasting that she can use anytime whereas Rita can only BLAH BLAH BLAH in overlimit. Marta's a lot faster than Estelle, has way more strike artes, and with her speedcasting, can cast much, much faster. Emil and Marta don't have overlimits, but they do have unison attacks (though I liked UA's in the first game better).

Estelle could probably hold her own for a while, but her lack of speed and speedcasting and limited amount of strike artes (and arcane ... she has only two arcane artes DX), so Marta would definitely win, especially if she uses the broken Photon combos. Marta also has Revive.

Well yeah... What can I say? I started playing RPGs because of Final Fantasy 7, and the way I measured each of them is how the hero stacked up to Cloud.

A lot of people think of Cloud as an emo, but i don't. I read a full analysis of his character once and it said he's a very deep thinker and he's an artistic person. Somehow all that made more sense to me...
