Anyone read the latest Naruto chapter? What'd you think about it?For me, it's just a continuation of a long "boss" battle. In every game (or anime) the final boss always goes into this transformation just before you think you've beaten him. He shows you his "true" form and kicks your ass using cheap power moves. That's Obito right now.
I am a fan of final bosses actually - I admire their over-powered-ness. And their final forms usually look awesome. For Obito's look... Hmm... He's got all the basic feel for a final boss - but he doesn't have that kind of flair. The only thing I like about his getup are those black orbs.
So yeah, a little tribute here to the Naruto boss villain. I still can't do much about the warping and rippling that happens on the paper when you paint on it.
I tried to make this piece exude a sense of "power". But then I ended up making Obito looking like... "Come at me bro!"

Thats awesome I love it, im curious have you checked out the Tales of games before, like Abyss, Vesperia or Symphonia? Those games have some pretty awesome final bosses also.

I agree. He does give the final boss feel. But I feel like he is missing something. Personaly I think he looked the coolest in his previous "pokemon evolution" :-D

Well considering how Naruto is like Dragon Ball, we sure WILL see more villains in the future - ones more powerful than the predecessors. But for now, Obito seems like the boss for this arc.

Well, Sasuke's "development" is totally random.Β XD
I don't like Naruto much these days, either, and that's really sad since he was my most favourite character in the manga, and a character I really liked in generally. His fixation with Sasuke killed it for me; furthermore, Naruto's speeches are great only when they feel spontaneous, while lately they just sound rhetoric.Β

Too many to remember, but most of them are from the earlier volumes. I don't remember the exact words anymore, but I loved when Naruto told Zabuza that he would have changed the ninja world. That were good times...Β ;___;
And the original "trash" speech by Obito, too... back then who would have thought how much Obito would have changed!Β
