Well, this summer was certainly interesting! I had a lot of adventures and learned a lot about myself. Where to begin?

I suppose the summer started with a lot of magic classes! I've been spending a lot less time at the Nook. Alma was worried about me wandering off into the outskirts of Wynsiph at first, but once I started jotting my whereabouts down and making maps, she sorta gave up on stopping me from getting lost. Did you know that when you get lost, it helps you find your way around better in the future? At least, I think so. Every time I get a bit lost, I seem to find my way that much better the next time. Probably because I'm much more aware of my surroundings when I'm actively looking for a way back.
It was kind of a drag having to camp outside sometimes when Alma would kick me out of the Nook temporarily, but I guess that's a learning experience too, right?
It's mostly due to my stupid magic. Alma says I should never use mine in the Nook. "Just because you have natural talent, doesn't make you an expert!" She always says.
I also think Alma is trying to gradually kick me out of the Nook. She says I'm old enough to take care of myself and that Azoth can deal with me. I guess Dryft has sorta started practically living there-- I dunno.
Azoth is really cool and mysterious, but he always acts like he's trying too hard to be my dad sometimes. I know he found our egg, and I'm grateful that he's always supported me and Dryft, but I don't really like hanging out in his cottage. I'd rather be at the Nook with my friends! Plus Dryft can really be a downer and I feel like he hates me, so I try to give him space. (And he's always at Azoths')

Magic classes this summer were AWESOME though! Especially Earth and Water! I got to practice with Atla! Which made everything way more fun! And Djehuti and McNair were there too most of the time! As were a lot of other friends I got to meet! Anina kept forgetting to do her homework-- I think she's been busy being all lovey-dovey with Dexter lately. I guess she's way braver than I am, anyways. Meh. As long as she doesn't keep making faces at me behind Atla's back I'm fine with it.

Wind class was kind of a drag, though. Mingle was such a Wyngus and really pissed me off. I accidentally deafened McNair temporarily, which made it even worse. Atla wasn't in the class either. She's been all funky trying to dig up her past and find out who she is. I don't get it, I guess. Why would you need to find your blood-parents anyways? I know who she is! She's my best friend and always nice to me and funny and sweet! So why's she so concerned? I wish she wouldn't worry so much about that stuff, and I wish I could convince her she's perfectly fine the way she is, feathers and all!
I got really kinda bummed out for a month after Wind class. I don't know. I got a bit discouraged about some things. Mostly why I'm such a weirdo with magic. I'm sad that Ms. Netty & Zagor are taking a long break from classes. I get why, but I miss classes giving me something to do and stay focused on.

I got my new buttoned red bandana from Ali while I was wondering through the outskirts of town, though. My new wardrobe made me feel a bit more confident in myself. I decided to really start working hardcore on my maps. I showed a few other Wyngrew who were interested, wven though they're not finished. Everyone seems to like them so far! I sure like making them! I really can't wait to be able to wander further out. I just need to learn more survival skills first and such.
I got to work at Gulch's Forge with Tai on some projects! That was fun! I even had a fun adventure with Nida! Although I kinda got her in trouble with Alma.. oops.

I guess Warptide month draws closer. I'm a bit worried about some things that have been happening at the Greymoor Estate. A lot of Wyngrew are talking about sneaking in and checking out if the rumors are true.
This is a huge problem. I really need to gather my friends up and go back there before something bad happens.
I can't believe it's been a whole year since last year's Warptide... It still haunts me a bit. Well I better not procrastinate and rally the troops for a little favor...
