History:
Teal grew up on the southern coast of Kanto on Cinnabar Island, living with his parents but spent a good portion of his time exploring the rocky volcano's side. From an early age he was fascinated with fire and danger, trying to climb the volcano multiple times by the time he hit his early teens. He saw many of his friends go off on their adventures when they were ten and wanted to do the same but instead of go to Professor Oak, he wanted to start his journey in an entirely different region. His parents didn't want him to leave of course, but they knew that once he had his mind made up that nothing short of the end of the world could stop him. They wished him the best of luck and gave him his trusty Pokégear and told him to keep in touch.
As years passed on he had gotten pretty known on the battling scenes of Kalos and Johto and returned to Kanto to challenge his hometown's gym leader. He had always known that he was strong but the flames from their battle almost caused the volcano on Cinnabar Island to erupt. The outcome of the battle is never discussed but the inhabitants of the island could see the two laughing with each other on the way down the mountain so they saw no reason to ask. They talked through the night as they discussed Teal's travels through the other regions and the leader's research. Through their conversation the subject of Teal helping out with some research out in Alola came up. That was a place he wanted to go and he was looking for a bit of a vacation from his constant battling, so he accepted on one conditon...he wanted a lab coat. With that he made a few deposits from his PC and picked up Titania and Tolba, two pokemon that he received from and egg or fossil ressurection respectively. He thought that the two of them would want to explore Alola just as much as he would and would like a good vacation as well. Along with his faithful companion Cayenne, whom he raised from Litleo cub, they made their way to the port and toward Alola.
Trivia:
- Feed him muffins and he will share with you the secrets of the universe
- His specialty is the study of how the enviroment affects Pokemon and people.
- He likes to give little tidbits of wisdom but rarely does anyone take him seriously
- Even though he's in Alola for research he gets sidetracked very easily
- Has a habit of sleeping anywhere including while standing straight up
