Watercolor 2016, Bjärehalvön, Sweden.This is a painting from a beautiful summer day full of bathing in the sea and playing in the sun! It is absolutely one of the best memories from this summer (up until now)! This painting has been submitted to the group Watercolorists' AquaChallenge for summer paintings.
I have tried to capture the backlight from the scenery. I hope you like it a bit!

I just adore the colours you used here! Amazing! The backlit effect turned out so nice!

Awww, thanks a lot!! I wanted to create a transparent feel in the waves and used a bit of a new palette with yellow/brown shades in the water. The backlit effect was actually the most scary part since I was so afraid to make it too dark. I'm really happy you think that it's nice!! Thanks again and take care!

Hey, thanks so very much! I'm extra pleased that you like the light on the water. I wanted to create a feeling where the waves felt a bit transparent and you can sense the sand in the colors. It was a bit of an experiment
