10,000 page views. A little late though. I suddenly felt like using yellow, pink, teal, and other pastels. O_O Same girl from that one other pic with flowers---> [link] Her hair is down this time though. I was trying to make a tutorial out of this pic... and about up to putting down the flat colors I stopped keeping track. I color way to.... abnormally to do a tutorial. Never the same way twice and I used painter 6 and photoshop back and forth for this. 4 hours start to finish.Thanks for the constant support guys.

Strange, from the preview, at a glance, it looks like she is facing away, and now that I look at it, I feel like this would be more dynamic and interesting if she did have her back turned. Just an idea! It's adorable anyway.

the colors are awesome ... really, I like it ... Yellow and Purple are difficult colors to blend (they must not be too cold or too warm), and you managed to have a great result ...
And even if the drawing's not perfect (the hands are a little bit, well, oddly drawn), it's totally forgotten because of the quality of the colorization ..

Yeah, that's my fault. Her hair is a bit longer then how it is in this pic. I thought the shorter bob looked cuter then hair resting on her shoulders. *shrug* I'm glad the water droplets look good, I'm still working at getting reflections, shadows, and refractions right in CG. Lots of study going into that. Lol. I put water droplets on the window when sunlight is shining through and try to mimic that. It's fun.

Thanks. You know, I thought that too, about the lower half being to pale compared to the top half of the pic. I kept zooming in and out while I was coloring to make sure things were balanced. One thing I didn't want to do was destroy the yellow by dulling it down with too much purple. I tried using some pale pink in there too... These are colors I've never worked with, it was quite the learning experience. Thanks for the feedback.

I need a program that can like... record me while I work. LOL. There are just so many different steps I take to do a pic. I get lost myself. I tried SOO hard to keep up with what I was doing, but after I switched to painter I just zoomed through the coloring. Someday I do hope to do a simple tutorial for basic CGing. What version of painter do you have? I used 6 for this pic and yes that program is confusing. Some of the ways it works is just.... slow compared to photshop. The layers and brushes especially. What are you having trouble with in particular. I can probably help you out.

Well, I'm using Painter 6 (I think) and i can't even figure how to paint...the canvas and layer thing confuse me, the brushes confuse me, how can I just freakin PAINT without all these confusing things...I tried watercolor, but it was really transparent and hard to control. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I feel like a tool.
