the original idea was the skull would be from a creature somewhat similar to a dragon

Never knew there Were Dragon-ish beings in 40k.

the Imperium of Man is comprised of a million worlds (though that is still a laughably small amount of the galaxy), and there have been published mentions of space whales, so what are the chances that on a world somewhere in the Eastern part of the galaxy, there might be a creature of some sort that might resemble some characteristics of a dragon?

Chaplain Savaal is not Chaos-aligned, but rather a Brother in a renegade Chapter, a "gray" area if you will

Looks awesome. Uh, he is a loyalist, right? (I'd hate to honor a Traitor Marine with a place among my faves.)

He is not. Chaplain Savaal is a renegade.

Cool. Are those real skulls, taken from some death world predator? Or surface decorations, cast from metal or ceramite?

most badass dreadnought evar! the reverse legs are a nice touch. really makes the dred look more like a dragon when that skull is added on. then again, this is your Iron Dragons chapter right? so it makes sense. this is definitely A+ work. your art kicks ass.

A normal Dreadnought is terrifying, but a Chaplain's Dreadnought is absolutely destructive X3

Ice: Not likely. Meat shield cultists will swarm over this machine while the Chosen of Khorne close in. Lascannons will make short work of it while it fights.

TheAngryMarine In reply to Team-Friction [2011-06-08 18:54:54 +0000 UTC]
Bah, Chaos whelps die quicker than guardsmen and orks and a Chosen of Khorne (if he really was) would prefer melee instead.

Team-Friction In reply to TheAngryMarine [2011-06-08 19:02:06 +0000 UTC]
Ice: He would and he will. Others will tote the Lascannons. And in their defense, Orkz are notoriously hard to kill during a WAAAGH.

Team-Friction In reply to TheAngryMarine [2011-06-09 15:45:10 +0000 UTC]
Ice: Imperial Guardsmen often are overwhelmed through Ork numbers despite that being one of their strengths. And I've seen Orkz lose both arms and keep coming simply because they were screaming WAAAGH.

So did the Black Knight, but doesn't mean it'll do any damage, lol

Team-Friction In reply to TheAngryMarine [2011-06-09 16:02:50 +0000 UTC]
Ice: Still, Orkz are heavy. And they can bite better than a guy wearing a helmet can.

TheAngryMarine In reply to Team-Friction [2011-06-09 21:10:27 +0000 UTC]
Then how come guardsmen have about the same stats as a standard ork boy and yet the size is different? It's kinda broken

If this was also easy to convert, id make this one first, ive seen it before, but i thought id comment this time, if i had the green stuff abilities, and patience, id definitely do it, but he might need a large crozius arcanum to fit the bill
