I like it however i would recommend a longer focal point because the tree itself is blurred. Or if that didnt work you could have tried two focal ranges and then combine them together if you used a tripod

Great colours and sharpness nevertheless

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Actually, I returned to that tree the other day and did some more shots, some of which have a different focal point. I'm not sure yet, if I'll change it here, though.

It wasn't what you would call a deep forest. In fact, that tree stood near the edge of the forest.

I love the feeling this photo gives me! I sense of wonder and mysteriousness. The white speckles on the tree give a magic feeling as well. Makes me want to see the rest of the forest!

Well, it was by far the nicest tree around. I found it near the edge of a relative thin "arm" of the larger forest.
