Description

This is a concept, rather than an official animal from my world, as i still need to figure out how would this creature even work.
In the sky where birds doesn't rule anymore, completely new group of animals made it their own. Flying "spiders", are spiders mostly in name, as they are related to their spider anceastors as mammals to lobe finned fish. With completely different respiratory system and heavily modified anatomy, Flappers are something more than just spiders. Ranging in size from small, dragonfly-like species to large albatross-sized giants that patrol seas of the planet. Their wings derived from legs are supporting a thin membrane that can regenerate over time, as they have same wings over whole life. Their "head" is also not a real head but rather an elongated mouthpart, with pedipalps fused together, making fake "lower jaw". Also their brain evolved, and they have average intelligence like birds.
This creature will be official in my spec world, when i find out how would anatomy of this lad work.
