Sometimes, things don't go EXACTLY as planned...

A picture I was working on and off over the past couple of months with a concept I had in my head for nearly half a year.

One thing I love about EarthBound (and the MOTHER series in general) is that there's a lot that's open to interpretation. An example being...What happened after Pokey's helicopter crashed in the Deep Darkness? What could have caused the crash? Was it intentional? Was it an accident? What happened to Pokey after the crash? This picture represents one possibility of what I think might have happened (Though it's not like I think this is what EXACTLY happened and nothing else. It's just one of many ideas).

It's pretty easy to lose your way in pitch black darkness. That and I don't think there's anyway you could go through a helicopter crash without getting scathed or hurt unless you're REALLY LUCKY (And according to Magicant Pokey, he has no luck). Maybe Pokey got severly injured or perhaps even lost his life in the crash (and had to be retrieved by one of Giygas' minions)! Maybe the reason why he seemed so off during the final battle was because he was revived with unusual side effects (Since noone retrieved the cup of life noodles that was near the crash site XD). Who knows what actually happened, but it's sure fun to theorize, isn't it?
