You sure that's Ganesha and not Jumba Jookieba's great uncle? All jokes aside, this is another solid entry.

I love his anatomy, from the way you did his feet to the Golden jewelry
Would you think about doing Bakasura?

This is really cool. It also reminds me of the style of felix colgrave in a way.

Ganesha is one of the deities that the metaphysical store I help manage always likes to have around. Statues, candles, or incense, we almost always have Ganesha in the place somewhere because quite frankly, he's great to have around. I'm partial to Hanuman myself when it comes to Hindu deities, but Ganesha is right up there, too.
But for all the Ganesha I've seen come through the store, nothing's look like this. Which is a compliment. The reason I love your Mythos series so much is that you always interpret these beings in new and exciting ways.

Not very familiar with Hindu deities however, this makes me want to look up more about the subject. Only real exposure was from Asura's Wrath and I believe that doesn't count.

Ha, ha! I suppose not, but the designs in that game were still amazing! I think they ended up mixing a lot of different mythologies together, from all different parts of Asia.
Yeah, there are a lot of cool stories in Hindu mythology! I need to look into it more, too. Ganesha's one of the more interesting characters, I always thought--according to some myths, Shiva wanted to "be intimate" with his wife, Parvati, but she had to take care of their baby. In anger, Shiva chopped his head off. As you can guess, Parvati was not happy about that, so Shiva hastily slapped an elephant's head on him and called it a day. He won't be getting any "#1 Dad" coffee mugs for Father's Day, that's for sure.

It really was a beautiful game, the visuals alone got me to play it and the campaign was very engrossing. Not just the obvious religious influences, but just wanting to see how it would end.
That is certainty one way to make someone take the hint that it's not the time for intimacy. Reminds me of certain stories in Greek mythology involving the Gods.
Oh those divine beings always taking things to the extreme on how to deal with things. Crazy scamps. X-D

It's definitely a game for anyone who enjoys mythos, amazing action scenes and some creative boss battles.
Yep especially in the case of how Venus was created, how if you do something for mortals you get punished and just messing with people's lives in general to make a simple trip to the store into a grand battle with a legendary beast or more if the gods are bored enough.

That and the final fight between Asura and Wyzen. Guy turned bigger than the planet itself. Asura just basically said bring it on. =-O
Yeah Prometheus got it bad just like Tantalus, Erysichthon, and Hera to name a few.

Which reminds me in the case of Erysichthon the punishment is similar to certain Yokai know as Jikininki or Human eating ghost. Look it up on this website if you're interested.
