Excellent job, I mean Christ a cracker robots are the hardest sculptures to tackle in my opinion.
Me myself I'll take the wussie way out and make a rubber mold of one arm and one leg so I can get that manufactured look.
But you did all of that by hand and it looks flawless, kudos and congratulations!

Oh my gawd... I can't believe the stuff you do with sculpey. It's been a while since I picked some up, but you make me want to grab some right now and start molding. You've definitely inspired me to do some more stuff.

hahah, Wow! I'm so happy that I inspired someone to do clay works! My job is done here And btw! I checked out your website and looked at your bio, and was VERY amazed that you're painting experience was the exact same as my clay experience.
"Over the next few years I continued to paint, at first sporadically and then with increasing frequently.
By 2003 I was painting on a regular basis, and began exhibiting my works.
Painting has become a part of my life, a way to express myself and to keep myself sane."
Well said, that is exactly what happened with me and clay! hehe, Very cool!
"I'm married (10th anniversary in 2004!) to a beautiful woman who loves my artwork and acts as my artist's rep. We have no children and no plans for children, but do have a very cute bunny."
Congrats on your anniversary (even though it's a bit late ) And you're wife sounds like me..hehe. My boyfriend's an animator and I love his work and really do act as his rep! haha And we also have the same view as you about no children..haha. I have a dog instead of a bunny. And I live in NY as well! Just found it interesting!
Glad I could inspire you, there are a lot more models to come, so stay tuned!

woah, you are getting really good. I fully understand how difficult it is to make edges like that. But you have done a great job. You have those lines on the fingers as well. That must have took ages.

I shouldn't be answering this as this is not my piece but if I am correct, the wires is there to keep it standing during the sculpting and baking. The reason being is that the medium is not that strong and cannot not stand on its own. Expecially when it is baking, there is a period when the clay goes even softer during the baking and they often deform under gravity a bit. The wire is there to keep him standing and is cut off after baking so that he can stand on his own.
