The tower of the coal mine "Consolidation" in Gelsenkirchen Germany.the wicked effect in the sky was achieved by an infrared filter wich increased the contrast of the blue/white in the sky and increased the exposure time

Very nice photo. I am not the biggest fan of the blurring in the sky. I like the idea and what the effect would bring, but i think right now its blurred just too little and looks akward. But that is my only little critique.

This is really quite stunning. The architecture and vantage point scream at you. Why did you choose black and white? Generally black and white has become a cliche in modern photography.

I took this photo with an infrared filter to enhance the contrast and to get this blurred sky. Since infrared photos are naturally red and white or if correctly balanced blueish black and white. I reduced the saturation. You can also get this result with a pol-filter and an 1000 Greyfilter but this is just unnecessary much glass in front of the lense and the colors would have been so boring that black and white would have been the best choice anyway since the only colorful object would have been the sky it also would have distracted from the building.
