Description OKAY! I've finally posted something up on youtube; this was recorded as a demo with audio, so it's a full hour and a half video...
I'll try to do this sort of thing more, though usually it'll be the more usual sped-up painting process thing.

Thank you for the video Jack, It's really great, love how you record it at normal speed!

Wish the sound is a bit louder on my computer.

you know whats the worst? i had this open in a tab for a few hours now, meaning to watch the video. and every single time i see the tab im like "wtf is dairy flow?"

im lactose intolerant, there is no reason i should have a tab called dairy flow.

the video is great, though!

seeing it at original speed not only makes the single actions more apparent, it also doesnt lead to misconceptions about the actual working speed and efficiency of people. thats super frustrating when you notice how you catch yourself attempting to recreate the speed of a sped-up video, and obviously never matching the apparent efficiency of a few seconds of deft fumbling with brushes, too fast to follow, and then having a detail rendered to a given finished state.

This was super fun to watch! It was crazy to see how much you left as just flat shapes that I just mentally assumed was detailed when first seeing the final image; the focus of information in the important areas totally fills out the rest of the piece. Something I need to do more of for sure.

Thanks a ton for posting this up!

it was incredibly helpful to hear your thoughts and process while watching you work.  thanks so much for uploading this.

The 720p version seems to be up. Unless you fixed it yourself, I'm guessing it just takes a little while before youtube enables it.

Thanks for posting it!

What I love about you:
Not only is your art creative, but you're not one of those artist who just posts stuff and has a very serious, deadpan description. You act more human and there's personality in your work.
Okay, bye.
