Aethereums are creatures who are greatly influenced by their environment.
Aethereums are born as a 'neutral egg', also referred to as ‘nae/s’. They develop in the egg for 2 months before hatching.
Before they hatch, their appearance may change numerous times if they move from one environment to another. Once the egg hatches, their appearance will no longer change.

A good environment will have the nae change their appearance to something ‘dream-like’, and will be referred to as daethereums.
On the other hand, nae/s growing up in an unideal environment will have their appearance change into something ‘nightmarish’, and will be referred to as faethereums.

They are naturally tame and social, preferring to stick together in groups, and live together and build their own village. They have their own language, though they may also learn to speak human language (it depends, however, on where they grew up; if one was raised in France, then naturally they'd learn French.)

They can live in almost any environment, granted that it is similar to where they hatched and grew up in. They could adapt, though it is a slow process, especially if the environment is too different from what they’re used to.

Their diet differ from one another, which makes them omnivores. Some may prefer only meat, some may prefer only fruits, etc.
They have abilities that relates to their ‘theme’. Of course, the abilities’ powers get stronger the higher the rank.

They age slower than humans, and are fully grown at 250. They may also begin to breed at that age.
They also have longer lifespans, some aging up to thousands. Legends (Also called 'Mystics') can live up to millions.

On the subject of breeding, aethereums lay eggs (the average size of a human baby), and the eggs hatch at 2 months. The parents settle together (most of the time) and raise the nae together.

COMMON AETHEREUMS
HALO: Ordinary halo with gem in the middle.
HORNS: There are only two kinds of horns. They also can only have 2 horns.
GEM: Can be a circle or square.
EARS: Human ears or 'elven' ears.
TAIL: One type of tail, with two different lengths. May only have 1 tail.
EYES: Their pupil has the same color as their iris

UNCOMMON AETHEREUMS
HALO: Feathered halo with gem in the middle.
HORNS: They may have any kind of 'animal' horns. They also can only have 2 horns.
GEM: Can be an oblong or rectangle.
EARS: They may have any kind of 'animal' ears.
TAIL: They may have any kind of 'animal' tails. They may also have 1 or 2 tails.
EYES: They have a colored pupil

RARE AETHEREUMS
HALO: Dreamcatcher halo with gem in the middle.
HORNS: They may have 'unnaturally-shaped' horns. They may also have 2-4 horns.
GEM: Can be of any shape.
TAIL: They may also have 1-3 tails.
EYES: Their colored pupil may have any shape.

LEGEND AETHEREUMS
HALO: Dreamcatcher halo with gem in the middle and 3 feathers.
HORNS: Their horns are 'ethereal-like'. They may also have 1-5 horns or none at all.
EARS: Their ears are 'ethereal-like'.
TAIL: Their tails are 'ethereal-like'. They may also have up to 10 tails.
EYES: Their iris has a dreamcatcher pattern.
