Description Testing out my Prismacolor markers, wanted to get back into the habit of using them so I bought some more today that fit my preferences better than my older ones.

Sorry for the lack of uploads, I've been out of commission for quite a while due to wrist pain, but it's finally good enough to draw again! Yay!

Very excellent, indeed! Did David model for the bottom one?

So beautiful!! I've heard about prismacolours before and wanted to get some, how much did they cost you?..they're quite expensive aren't they? :/

They are rather expensive, $4.50 per marker for these last ones I bought.

I'd recommend starting with a few greys, like if you bought a 20%, 40%, and 60% grey that would let you render almost anything. You could also buy the set.

My tactic for use this time is just getting a few really light / pale colors so I can use the page color itself as the lightest value. Just bring some paper with you to test the markers on and write down their names since a lot of the time the color of the marker on the label doesn't look the same as the actual marker on paper, and you have to wait a bit for it to dry to see the true color.

So... IN SHORT. If you buy 1 or 2 matching colors, and make sure they're light enough to use the color of the paper as the lightest value, you can render things and test them out to see if you like using them. Just keep in mind it'll take some getting used to and practice. If you buy them just let me know if you want some tips!

Thanks this helps a lot. I've had experience with colouring in pencil with okay pencils but nothing like prisma. Thanks again!!
