These are really good gestures! ONe thing I might suggest, that instead of the hatch kind of lines, try a somewhat continuous squiggly line. I know it sounds weird, but I tried it and it actually works pretty well. It helps you to capture the motion quicker. :3 Though that's just my opinion.
