Description
Inspired by WhiteFang's picture and the way it was done with the different scenes. [link]Yes, the awful, awful attack on the Abbey. I swear, that scene makes me cry every time I watch it. :C
After I drew this, I was so depressed. DX
But now I'm better. I promise!
Here's pretty much what's going on:
-the vikings broke down the door and are now entering the chapel
-the force of the door being broken down blows out all the candles
-the Brothers of Kells are put to the Northmen's swords (image of Brother Friedrich in Viking sword and Brother Sergei dead on the ground)
-Tipper (my OC) being taken by the Vikings

Yes, the brutality of your picture inspired me to do something...equally as traumatizing. ^_^;
The scene still gets to me. Probably because you don't "see" it happen and "felt" it instead. It leaves the viewer to imagine what did happen in there. My imagination is HORRIBLE!!! Gah! It makes me so sad.

Well, if I ever get my act together, I do plan on writing something about what happens to her afterThe Viking that kidnap her does develop a fondness/infatuation with Tipper, but Tipper never returns those feelings. She could NEVER forgive the Northmen. The Viking takes her as his wife and teaches her how to fight and defend herself.
But she does go through some crap before that happens. When does finally come back to Kells, no one recognizes her. She's no longer the quirky, loveable girl they all once knew.

It's the Abbey of Kells in Ireland. There's an animated Irish film called The Secret of Kells. An amazing film and a true piece of art.

Tipper being hauled off by random viking guy is the most heartwrenching. It's like the others at least had the good fortune to die.
