I seriously have no idea why, maybe it's the Armour color or his face.
But he seriously reminds me of lord Farquaad from Shrek.

Sombra must have had an incredible agent. He spoke less than twenty words, and just had to stand around grunting and leering at everyone. Then he cashed the check, and got himself registered among Equestria's most dangerous villains.
