Hey everyone!!16th Inktober drawing for this 2022 edition!! The Surf Scoter!
I remembered seeing an amazing-looking sea duck once, when I was on the West coast of North America, but I couldn't remember its name and my photos from the 1990s were not good enough to use on an internet searching tool... so I googled "black white sea duck north america" and poof!! there it was!! the Surf Scoter!!! This truly original-looking duck lives near coasts, is almost never seen inland, and eats small invertebrates and algae

About the drawing: when I started drawing, I knew that I wouldn't stick to black and white for this one, the beak is too remarkable and colorful to be in a shade of grey... so I added a splash of Viviva watercolors!!
