Description I actually decided to upload this so that people could see how the ears looked for the Kitsune head before they were furred and what-not. Those are just black foamies which is what I use for my ears most of the time, and they're just pinned to the dummy so I can gauge how they'd look with the suit. Always remember that fur will bulk up whatever you make, so even though they look sort of small and thin now, as you can see from the finished product they are more than big enough. xD

I plan to have the 3 in-progress pics of Kitsune on my website so people can basically see how to get a resin head base ready for furring. Sort of a tutorial thing.

I'm curious, how much time do you think you've shaved off by using this method as opposed to a building up foam method?

Monoyasha In reply to TheRootOfAllEvil [2011-10-10 03:58:47 +0000 UTC]

I can't really say since this is my first one, so a lot of time was taken to actually sculpt it out and such. Also I had to fiddle with a lot of different things to get hinges attached, as well as get the jaw/fan/etc to fit correctly and what-not. My next one will probably go much smoother now that I know how to do it.

This looks awesome and comlicated
Is it a moving mask, or just a mask with human controlled parts?
im asking because i see wires

Monoyasha In reply to zacharyp99 [2011-10-10 03:55:23 +0000 UTC]

The wires are for the glowing eyes and a fan in the muzzle. This is a mask to be worn by a human.

Ahh, its an amazing mask, and i can see why there would need to be a fan, it gets kinda hot in those masks
Smart design, i like it
