She was upset you didn't visit for her birthday. She's tired of the same Elvis album you keep sending her. She already has 4 copies. She wants Conway Twitty's "A Very Twitty Twistmas" for now and I'm sure she'll tell you about the Tennessee Ernie Ford box set for her next birthday.

Damn, I thought her alzheimers had progressed enough for me to just send her the same gift, the old bat is sharper than I thought.
Could you maybe hide her alzheimer pills next time you visit so I don't have to come up with a new gift idea?

Hide them, sure. After I'm done taking them...

The anxiety I feel when looking at this is utter loneliness and fear of being forgotten. Is that correct? It's very moving. It reminds me of my mom and how we forget to look at older people with the respect and love they so deserve. It's exquisite! Lonely:

She seems afraid or worried about someone, maybe a family member or someone dear to her that is located somewhere where a storm is hitting or has hit, very nice, you have done a beautiful job with her expression.

This painting is exuisite. The detail on her skin makes her look like a branch that's been weakened by water.
Gorgeous!

You know, if there's something I treasure, it's a gem of a comment like yours that I never expected, short, sweet, and poetically descriptive of the impact the image made on you.
You just made my morning.
Thanks for visiting, and thank you very much for your comments!

This one is unbelievable...It tells about a calm sunny day...but underneath in the back ground you just feel theres something amiss...but what?
Its the calm worrying pose the model has.. that along with the beautiful sunny atmosphere...
This is worth a fav if any ever did!

She looks like she only just realized something worrying, and I like the contrast between her anxiety and the sunny day ambient.

This is probably my favourite. The way you have painted the light shining is very real. I also like the small details such as the individual leaves and the wood textures.

Of course you like it. This one expressed the most intense anxiety of all of my pieces. It also gets the most comments and the strongest reactions.
Thanks again, Jonathan!

Middleburg!! That's where Slim Whitman is from. Seriously. I just drove through there the other day and had a chuckle at the McDonald's that looks like a plank cabin.
Thanks for your compliments!

My mother, and in fact, the model herself is from Absecon. They moved down here many years ago - but quite the coincidence, no?
Thanks for the compliment!

I suppose it means what you see it to mean. I intended her to portray a particular anxiety for me, however, that has nothing to do with a disease. And I wonder if my mentioning what that anxiety was would void its individual meaning for anyone else who sees it.
