So because I promised my watchers [whether they know it or not] that I'd work more in monotone, under the suggestion of , so as to brush on on the basics instead of my coloring style, I resorted to working...well, like this - which was something completely unexpected at the time, trust me. I was planning on working in JUST orange tones, but ended up working with black, white, and orange - and then I highlighted his eye because I love his blue eyes ... ._.This character seems to ONLY pop up around this time of year. Perhaps I should make him my signature halloween character. I'm pretty sure I thought him up in 10th grade, with the inspiration of Vivi from some final fantasy game. Or some game along those lines, I really don't know.
Bad character design on my part - Both this character, Jack, and another of my characters, Brass [or Braz, or Brazon] kind of...look a lot alike. Both Jack and Brass have flaming red hair, blue eyes, and, due to terrible circumstances, Brass is now just as dead as Jack is. It was just the circumstance of things, it wasn't intentional. Sigh.
Anyway.
Happy Halloween.
Done in about 3 hours on photoshop. Ow. Hand.

Lol but atleast it adds character!! I mean, who doesn't do that right? Whether it's drawing pictures on your shoes, to sticking pins on your bag, it happens everywhere. Your OC just makes it look cool though

-nodnod- Very true, very true~ He'll just sit down and sew random shit and pierce random parts in his severely decayed body. xD He may look young, but that's because he was reanimated when he was only five. But he's been an undead for 42 years. So his body is kind of falling apart at the seams. He's almost constantly sewing wounds back together, and since they don't heal, they remain the same. The line across his face is one of those wounds he sewed.

Wow that sounds intense, but very interesting. And, does he feel anything while he's doing this? I assume that he doesn't since he's dead and all, but I just want you to confirm it for me. I knew a girl that used to go to my school and she was crazy like that. She would just pierce her lips with pins..or I don't know what they are called, those little needles that clip things together? But it was nasty, I would always see her walking around like that and then she'd just take them out and do it again the next day

Nice work, Moe. It's already getting clearer, especially in the leg area. When I step back from the piece I can tell what's going on in the leg area. You're starting to lose me in the upper half of the body and hat, though.
With the staff, try to preserve clarity and don't let things get lost in the glassy whiteness, okies? So overall, I can see you're focusing (even maybe slightly subconsciously) more on clarity, which I'm loving.

And thanks. <3 Yeah, the upper body was difficult for me. I was trying to make it look baggy because it's supposed to be huge for him, but I think I just ended up making him look like a monk. And his hat, yeah, it's supposed to be disproportionately big, and the pointy part of it is actually stuffed to make it poofier. The tail of it isn't stuffed, it's just old fabric.
The skull staff, where it's part of the character, was kind of an after thought for me xD I gave up by that point. <3
I'll definitely keep that in mind though. :'3

*flaming red hair, blue eyes, ripped [and then stapled] skin on his face and neck, white gloves, and a huge hooded cloak that's way too big for his 3 foot height. The hat makes him more like 4 feet tall. The patches on the hat are plaid. The cloak is ripped up and thin at the bottom, but I felt if I added that, it'd mess with the composition.
