Rey Mysterio is a Mexican American professional wrestler. Trained in the lucha libre style which is known for having a high flying style. He is currently signed to WWE, but is well known for his time in ECW and WCW where he performed at his very best.

I haven't done a wrestler drawing for several years now. I planned to do some drawings last year but never got round to it. I mainly chose to draw Mysterio because he's one of my favs and he wore a mask which looked interesting for me to try. I experimented more with skin tones which helped me alot because I was very disappointed with my previous drawing of Sonim. The tattoos were fun to draw along with the Spiderman mask! The championship belt probably was the most difficult part of this drawing because of all the tiny details. The giant mask background which I had to plan out and start after drawing all 3 versions of Mysterio was also tricky to draw and color.

Photo was taken using digi cam. The details are much sharper and clearer on the actual drawing especially on the championship belt.

A4 size paper.
Most of this drawing is color pencils with slight use of ball point pens on certain areas.
I think I completed this in around 3 weeks but I'm unsure how many hours.
