Description
A very beautiful Hong Kong actress now retired. She mainly made movies in the early 1980s to the late 1990s. Known for playing the female lead in A Chinese Ghost Story. I also think of her role from City Hunter starring alongside Jackie Chan. This was meant to be my last drawing of 2009 but I ran out of time and couldn't finish it! Last color pencils only portrait for now. I'm going back to ball point pens after this.A4 size paper.

Completed in just over a month on and off.

This is so beautiful. Your pencils only drawings have a soft feeling to them. Quite different from your mixed media. The colours are perfectly matched and you can see all the work you put into this

I do wonder if they look too soft when compared to my pen drawings. Should I have gone darker? I try not to compare cos it's a different style but I do think about it.

No, I wouldn't change a thing about them. It's because they're different that makes them so special. I think it's good to be a able to tell the difference between the two styles. They're both great in their own way

Thanks Aya. I suppose it has been a breath of fresh air to use color pencils for a while. I'm back on pen now for my new drawing and I'm slowly getting back my touch.

Yes my workplace have finally given me some time off work! It seems long overdue and it has been tough over the last several weeks but I'm glad it's here.

I'm close but there is still some work to be done on the background as there are multiple faces of the same person. Seems a while since I've done that! It'a basketball related drawing. I haven't done one since May 2007. It might be my last attempt at this theme so I'm working hard on it. I seem to be taking more time with the details on skin which is still very new to me. I hope I get it right and I hope you like it.

I'm sure I'll like it. I've seen your previous basketball related drawings and I love them. Amazing attention to detail. I think I kept looking at one drawing for about half an hour to see every detail

I should have it ready by next weekend. It's funny when I looked back at my previous basketball drawings to see my style change. This one is lighter even with using pen but I guess that's how it was meant to be.

I just hope the pic I take of it will look decent. Whenever I use the color blue it never turns out right in photos.

My photos always suck too. The difference is, your drawings still look amazing even with a crappy photo.
