Jiyeon from kpop girl group T-ara. The ref pics I used are screen caps taken from the music video Cry Cry (the story/drama version).I think Jiyeon has a very beautiful crying expression and I really tried hard to capture that close up moment and the half body shot. Both drawings proved very challenging and difficult to draw. I don't believe I've done a crying expression before so it was very new to me. The scenes take place very close to one another in the video. I really liked both pics so I included them together in the same drawing. I decided to use black and blue biro pen so both drawings would stand out on their own. I added the korean lettering for Cry Cry because it looked different and kind of cool!
A4 size paper.
Black and blue biro pen to shade. I used a ruler to help with the pencil outlines for the korean lettering.
Completed on and off over 2 months.

That looks really cool. Somehow I didn't expect you to draw JiYeon. I love the refs you have chosen. Two very different expressions, but both work really well together and make this drawing absolutely amazing. Every time I see a new drawing of yours, I'm always reminded of your amazing skills with pens.

Really? That's interesting to know. Why didn't you think I would draw Jiyeon? I'll be honest and say I didn't think so myself! It just happened when I was thinking of doing a drawing of a face of somebody crying. I must have been listening alot to T-ara at the time so that was my choice after seeing the Cry Cry mv! Even Ken didn't think I would draw her!
I even thought about a follow up drawing from Lovey-Dovey but I don't know if I will get round to doing that.

Not really K-pop savvy myself, but a great drawing to see all the same. The typography is great, it'd be good to see more stuff like that in your work.
