Description This is a composition that was done for a coworker of mine. Although her birthday was in April, I never did get to drawing a little something for her until this morning. Shame on me!

The drawing itself was roughed out on paper using a 3B Tombow pencil and was colored in Photoshop CS2. The entire process took approximately an hour and a half, give or take.

Advanced critique is greatly encouraged.

Wow that is extremely well drawn. Youve really managed to capture the cartoonish figure. The expression looks abit silly ^^

Ha-ha. Well, thank you! I did use a reference; however, when it comes to drawing dogs... I tend to fail, which is probably why it came out looking a bit silly. Heheh.

Oh I didnt mean it in a negative way! I like artists who draw characters with distinguished mimics
It adds to the lasting impression in many ways.

You can request critiques if you're a premium member of deviantArt (in other words, a subscriber). Personally, I think it's rather silly that you have to pay in order to ask folks for critiques, as well.

Not sure if I asked you before, but how did you get a Premium Membership from someone? I assume the person who gives it is a premium member, in which case what is the limit they can give to non-members, and is it just a matter of asking them nicely? Could you give Critiques to non-members if you're Premium? I could do with a few...

Hello there!

First of all, my sincere apologies for responding to this message of yours so late in the game. I have no excuse.

Secondly, in order to give a membership to someone, you go to their main profile page, locate the button that says "Give" in the top right-hand corner of the page, click on it, and select "Give Premium Membership" (or something along those lines; it should be the first option underneath the "Give" button). Once you're on the Premium Membership page, you have the option of giving a $4.95 membership for one month, a $7.95 membership for three months, or a $29.95 membership for twelve months. You also have the option of presenting the gift to them anonymously or not, and you can also give yourself a subscription, too. You can ask someone nicely if they could give you a membership subscription, as well, but that's completely up to them. Ha-ha.

If you're a premium member, you can ask for, receive, and give critiques. I honestly don't know why you have to have a subscription in order to use this feature. I think it's stupid to have to pay for it. Heh.

I hope that this information helps you somewhat, and, again, my apologies for responding so late!
