Description I've been feeling a little down lately when it comes to my artwork. I've been in a...what they refer to as an artist block. Bleh I hate it. But I'm really pleased with this little piece. It's simplistic, and delicate, but I feel as though it truly captures my frame of mind at this point in time. It is my favorite drawing for this year so far.

And thank you so much for those that gave me encouraging, sweet, and supportive words in my last journal entry. It truly means so much

Ingrediants: black ink, 2B charcoal pencil, white charcoal, rice paper, textured paper, HB graphite pencil, black sharpie.

Naww thank you. the only block that is good is the one of chocolate.
I'm so happy you noticed the border, and the cage. Perhaps I do cages and lace too much in my work. But I love lace a little too much. lol.

Your art never fails to amaze me. I've always been quite jealous of the way you bring life to a piece WITHOUT using color. People say color is hard to master, but I honestly think pen and ink is harder. You've got quite the gift.

Thank you very much. Although I'm sorry that I make you jealous. Colour is hard to master for myself because I am not used to it. But that being said black and white can be tricky because you have a limited palett to work with. I think it is just what you are used to though.

Very cute , sad as well , seems you have conveyed yourself in this drawing , I suppose it's the distant detached stare that she has that makes me think so.....
