Once again, you used fantastic colors here. The composition is also very nice as well. The frogs look adorable, although that may not have been what you were going for, but frogs are just cute in general. Haha.
The only problem I have with this is that there isn't much contrast or texture . Frogs are typically shinier and have more porous skin, right? Maybe you should search around for some brushes that you can download -- they really help with making things more textured and make blending and painting high-contrast things much easier. Otherwise, this is a very good piece.

Thank you I'm glad you like the colours I really think the bright green works well with that shade of blue and that's they're natural colour. I was a bit concerned about too much green although was (am) very happy with the results especially on the leafy bits.
I am glad you think the frogs look adorable, as that was the impression I was trying to create as I find them very cute and I wanted to try and embrace that as well as realism in a toonish sort of way. I was trying to give each frog a little bit of characer too which I was hoping would make them a little bit amusing.
The frog images I was working from don't seem to have much of a textured skin they're more smooth and I was trying to embrace that as well as a (as mentioned) toonish-realism.
I find it very hard to find brushes for photoshop 7 as the majority of them are created for CS3 and above which doesn't work with photoshop 7 (annoyingly) so I try and create what I can from the standard brush sets that come with photoshop 7. But I know what you're saying!
Thank you for such lovely feedback, I have commented you and hope to do this again some time
~Regards x

The plethora of green looks good though -- very bright and cheery. The toonish quality definitely works well for this piece.
Oh gosh, well, you should definitely try to find some brushes that you can use. They're extremely useful in doing basically anything and everything in regards to shading things. I think that using the non-default brushes will definitely make adding in more contrast much easier for you and add more life to your pieces.
You definitely have drawing skills and knowledge of what looks good in art (hence the good compositions and colors), you just need to develop those qualities further in your digital paintings. Really, all you need is more contrast and texture and smoother lines -- then everything will be pretty much perfect. (:

I'll keep an eye out for brushes. Also things like pen tools and such which work with tablets don't work using your finger on laptop touch pad which is the method I use for all my digital works as I can't afford a tablet.

I'm rather pleased with them. Although someone commented about the shading on some of the frogs and now I feel a little depressed as I'm unsure how to enhance and not ruin... meh x

I think it looks good as it is, perhaps you could play around with the shading but if you don't like it leave it as it looks great right now in my opinion.

Wow, beautiful use of green! Green and red are my two fav colours... haha. But still, I think this looks really good, the scene itself looks as if it was taken from real life and replicated digitally. And they're adorable! Love it.
