Description
This is a tribute to Swedish artist John Bauer, who illustrated Nordic folk mythology in the beginning of the 20th century. The old troll has abducted the princess and keeps her in his mountain hall. While the troll is out stealing cows from farmers the boy comes to her rescue, but just as they sneak out through the door, the troll comes back...Related content

Did Hall of the Mountain King serve as an inspiration too? Anyways, I loves this, Bauer's trolls are my favourite and this is about just as cool.

Nice. The colours and the style makes me think of both Bauer and the visual style of the game Odin Sphere.
Askeladden's big hat and shoes makes him look like a young, inexperienced adventurer.
I see the princess' crown resembles the one of the princess riding white bear king Valemon.

listen to me, your picture and story out line has got me going in a whole diffrent 'world'
