Description I am loving this city! There's so much to see!

To capture a big city, you need a big image. I think I can check that off my list.

I am beginning to download some Minecraft worlds that I find interesting so I can have decent subjects in a single-player world (I can make better images in single-player worlds.).

This image shows almost all of the work the builders (Rolofolo and Xtr3m3Shadow) have accomplished in their world.

If you're interested in downloading this map for yourself, or learning more about this build, you can look at this build's Planet Minecraft page: www.planetminecraft.com/projec…

I have more images of this world coming and when I post them I will link them below,

One word: masterpiece. It's just way too beautiful and very well done! I believe that it took quite a long time, isn't it?

I really love this photograph! I like that you can see everything from this perspective. Great job!

Just a question; I'm thinking of downloading this map for inspirational reasons. Is it a world where you can walk around and look at it, or is there more to it?

The map was built for fun. I do not believe it has any story to it.

I love the way the landscape looks. I hope they update the xbox version more, because that's the only version I own.

The landscape does look really interesting when you're so far away from it.

I bet it'll get updated. Microsoft recently bought Minecraft, and the XBox is Microsoft's console. They said they were bringing Minecraft to the Windows phone (another Microsoft product), so I'd bet you that if they're going to try to get their money's worth from their purchase, then they are going to make sure to keep up development on their console and other products.

I heard about Microsoft buying Minecraft, and that makes me hopeful for the updates. The xbox version doesn't even have horses yet (the world is not even as large as the PC version).

By the way, I have some large Minecraft projects in mind. For example, I want to try the island of Metru Nui from Bionicle, but that is a floating city-island on an endless ocean. I also want to try a roman style colosseum (if that's how you spell it). I also want to try things like the Grid from Tron/Tron Legacy, or Minas Tirith. There is even a large medieval fortress I plan to make. I have so many ideas. One of the problems I face is the fact that the only world manipulation I can do is to make it super flat.

MinecraftPhotography In reply to Taqresu650 [2014-10-07 06:33:34 +0000 UTC]

Aw dang, you don't have horses yet. That sucks!
I actually haven't messed with horses yet. All I've done was ride one and it was terrifying.

Those all sound like great huge projects!
If you can make the world super flat, can you make the super flat blocks be water? You can do that on the PC version. If you can now, or in the future, then you'll have a good shot at the Metru Nui city!

Taqresu650 In reply to MinecraftPhotography [2014-10-07 14:44:58 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, and there are a bunch of other stuff we don't have yet.

Unfortunately, when we make the world super flat, it can only be grass and dirt blocks just 3 blocks above bedrock.

MinecraftPhotography In reply to Taqresu650 [2014-10-07 16:06:17 +0000 UTC]

Ah, yeah, I remember when super flat had just those options. Chances are things'll update and you'll get your super flat water world to splash around in.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Taqresu650 In reply to MinecraftPhotography [2014-10-07 16:47:28 +0000 UTC]

yeah, that would be great. I'm still making my own ocean. I'm trying to make an entirely flat layer at around 50 blocks above bedrock, I want to fill that layer completely with water, and just blow up the solid layer. The water will crash down to the bottom and the source blocks remain. Or at least, that was the idea, it's very time consuming.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MinecraftPhotography In reply to Taqresu650 [2014-10-07 16:59:45 +0000 UTC]

Oh gosh, that sounds like a lot of work, but terribly fun at the same time.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Taqresu650 In reply to MinecraftPhotography [2014-10-07 17:31:36 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I'm currently in the process of building the solid layer (with creative mode of course). I started with a grid. So much of that time was spent measuring and creating lines that extended from one side of the map to another. Then when I have each space inΒ a small square, I fill that square. I go from one square to the next, filling them from the outside in. The water will be added once the solid layer is done. The water will be easier and more difficult at the same time. You don't have to place as many source blocks (because the flow could mix with the flow of another source and combine as a source), but I have to make sure it covers everything. The fun part will be blowing everything up with TNT.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MinecraftPhotography In reply to Taqresu650 [2014-10-19 16:56:07 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, water is pretty easy. And yes, the TnT is going to be fun!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Taqresu650 In reply to MinecraftPhotography [2014-10-20 14:31:38 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, then the hard part will be the city/island. Here's the city I plan to build on top of the ocean. bionicle.wikia.com/wiki/Metru_… It will tell you all about the island and its inhabitants. However, even this will be harder to create with the xbox version of the game.

As for how many people worked on the build, it was only two. I link to the Planet Minecraft page about this build, in the description, if you're interested.
