This piece is beautiful. I think you captured the Gemini mindset perfectly. As a Gemini me say I had a dream like this once...

Beautiful, unique picture with all the serenity of a Japanese woodcut. It's great how comfortalbe she looks up there. Why is she shirtless, though?

Thanks for the kind words.
I couldn't really say why she is bare chested for sure, other then it seemed right. I was trying to make her delicate and with a carefree confidence. Or maybe I was just trying to keep it from being too 'clean' and wanted to ruin it for people by sticking bare breasts in an otherwise non-risque image. There's absolutely nothing wrong with nudity, art or not.

If she were REALLY smart she wouldn't be flying up at god knows what altitudes shirtless, lol. xD

Wow this is a beautiful! And a lovely take on the theme. it is refreshing to see someone not use the typical "stereotype" images for the zodiac!
Also i definatly see the rackham and miyazaki influences...The moment i saw the drifting clouds over a complex yet mysteriously still sitting i automatically thought miyazaki...and the colors and linework is definatly rackham inspired!!
Of course i picked those up naturally cause those guys are in my top fav artist list! ^_~ Good work!

that is an innovative approach to a well-explored subject. hopefully someday you will be able to explore the other signs. perhaps part of the reason i like this so much because i'm a gemini.

Very nice work. I love how it evokes the feel of an illustration of the early 20th/late 19th century.

I personally would like to see it without the border. I think the contrast and boldness distract from the picture. We wouldn't want that, because the rest of this is concentrated genius juice.

This is just amazing. I love everything about this painting. The first thing that I saw was the girl. The detail you put into her from the goggles to the parchment and books on her side really gives her a sence of depth, and her expresion makes her seem so at home floating in the air, which just adds to her character. The detail you put in the town blew me away. I always find that intricite, well draw out little cities are absolutly amazing. It was fun to pick up all of the parts you put into it to make it unique and to make it feel like a real place, like the clocktower and the winding roads and the ships and the seagulls. I especially adore the fact that you kept the entire peice pretty monotonous in color. Thoguh I can't pinpoint why, it just adds so much to the painting
Even with all this detail, this painting still feels peaceful and uncluttered, as opposed to the chaos that I see a lot in other intricate works. I could go on forever praising this, but I don't want to clutter your comments, so, beautiful work hun! <3
