It's The Lunar New Year! This year, the lunar year falls on February 3 2011 of the solar calendar. The Chinese zodiac indicates it is the year of the Rabbit. However, on the same day, for the people of Viet-Nam, it's the Year of the Cat.

This is the first time I drew and painted a cat. It is not as cute as I tried to envision it to be but I love the rabbit.

gōng xǐ fā cái xiè xiè ni . You've never learned pinyin, so what did you learn to help you read the Chinese characters before? I had wanted to resume my Chinese class this semester, but the schedule did not work out. I've been so busy, specially when next month comes and you know why

I have some suggestions for the cat.
A kitten's eyes are normally large and less round.
And I think if you made just a little more definition under the chin it would cuter.
