His outfit was actually inspired by the queen's guard's uniform design from Suikoden 5!! :3 I thought the chest part reminded me of a serpent's belly. Then everything else just falls into place as I had that inspiration down. However, in the process of drawing him, I did got a few hiccups along the way...;; Anyways, I'm glad that he's done!! XD
Varun's rune symbol means 'Elk-sedge' which is... a type of plant? It's the closest I can get for him since the 'birch' rune was taken by another Raevan already ;_;

Your use of color seems very professional. The green tone that you chose seems a perfect accent for the other very hot colors. and I admire the way you draw hands, very graceful but not too feminine. very impressive drawing.

I think you did a really good job at mixing the essence with soul... I was really struggling to think how you might do it. But I'm impressed.
Because he's effected by the seasons, going against the current one, would his appearance change as the seasons change? Like going from autumnal colours to wintry colours, to spring and to summer? Or is that something Sou would have to say. P: ((not in the art, that'd be too much work, but ICly))

that is soo cool! it reminded me of a goldfish at first. i really really really wish i could draw like that! can you tell me where you got the idea of no lower body, i think i heard you say bishi or something in another peice you drew with the same spiral thingy as the lower body, its just such a cool effect!

The concept is actually based on the bust-up, waist-up and fullbody commission idea that alot of people usually use. It was also inspired by a manga called "Rokutousei Supika", it's a 1-shot manga that's a little bit unknown...;;

That warmth and alive-ness is overwhelming there, the pose is so fluid you'd expect him to snap his fingers and order a drink seriously.
The hairflow is exceptional, fluffyyyy and soft and smooth and I guess you could say even a little wild. Most of all I really, really like his face though. It's got so much depth in it this time, almost ponderous. Also, that is SOME striking emerald in his eyes there, eee *w*

I haven't been free enough to read all of Varun's interactions in the shop yet, but he does look promising
And that's because I changed my style of editing the lineart a little bit!! XD Plus I'm using the laptop for the last 2 artworks which is a different screen from my old (dead) CRT screen, so the colors are a lot brighter and sharper. It kinda looks a bit more yellow than normal on a CRT now... o.O;; *using CRT at work*

The colors on this are so magnifico and...passionate?! I dunno, but that's the first word to pop into my head when I see this! Reds and oranges go well together, and so do greens and yellows, so when you combine the two pairs it's like BAM. AWESOMENESS.
This is going to sound so...creepystalker, but I always adore the way you draw chests and hands. With chests it's like, you can only see a smidgeon of it, but the coloring and anatomy of that smidgeon is astonishing. AND GRACEFUL, AWE-INSPIRING HANDS. YES.
