THIS IS THE FIRST ARTWORK I DID WITH MY NEW AND SHINY INTUOS 3!!! 8DD Ohkay, so now I'm gonna start rambling, explaining this design's concept, you can skip if you want to!! XP;

First of all, the Baku reference I took this from is not from the tapir-lookalike version, it's the one that looked rather like a chimera, with the head of a lion. So I tried to emulate the lion's features into his design. His fluffy hair that (could sort of) symbolises a lion's mane... although it needs to be fluff up some more..;; His ears which I THOUGHT looked like a lion (altho it's not, I know I fail at animal observation D: ) Baku is a Japanese monster, so his clothes are more Japan-esque.

The 2nd part will be highly related to the fel essence used instead - the tangible dream. I tried to imply the 'dream essence' to the design, trying to not make this picture too static. That's why I made the sleeves so... magical/flowy/however you want to describe it XD;; It sort of fades out in colorful smokes. Also, the fel essence used for this aren't very pure, it was infected by nightmare. So I added the 'demented' parts into his design, such as the melting/drippy gooey black wing where you can see tiny little "The Scream" faces on them, and also his inverted eye which is on the same side as the wing.

That is all~ It didn't went as long winded as I thought it will be... o3o;; Well maybe I'm just too tired now I guess... x__x;; His rune isn't a real rune symbol, it's another one of my self-created ones since I can't find any that's relevant for him X'D;;
