You can interpret this gif just as you like.I personally intented it actually as depicting those girls that are being used as an "inspiration" to other people and are always seen as the "pretty" one on the outside, but in reality they are nothing like that, they don't see themselves as beautiful and even are pretty sick sometimes, but don't show it to other people - because as long as people put them into the "pretty" category, everybody assumes that they must be "happy", nobody assumes that they could be in a conflict with themselves.
I know I did a lot of gifs/pics concerning the old scheme "okay on the outside - struggling on the inside", but I got the idea by stumbling across lots of pictures on the internet on which girls wrote something on their stomach, claiming either "I'm fat", "I'm gross", "I'm beautiful", whatever, and I really cringed at that and wanted to create an animation that would show that sometimes there could be a little more than what meets the eye at first on those misleading pictures.

yeah, i think this is also maybe the reason people have surgery. They assume if they look a certain way they will feel happy. I think once a person experiences real love they will realise that love and attraction arent really about physical appearance. Not in the way they might think anyway.
For example i am in love with a girl who sees flaws in herself but to me those things are the things that make her who she is and why she is beautiful.

Yep, you're absolutely right.
I watch loads of documentaries about random stuff on youtube and a few days ago I came across a documentary about liposuction, and the shocking part of that was when the doctor said that about 75 percent of the people who went through such a surgery were unhappier afterwards. I couldn't believe it, but the doctor insisted that those people who weighed like 300 pounds before and slimmed down radically then were STILL unhappy then, and then she added "I guess their former physical appearance gave them.. something, something they were, something they stood for."
The same phenomenon occurred with women who got breast implants, another doctor claimed that those people shouldn't go through that surgery to make themselves accept their bodies, they should accept themselves as they are beforehand and could "enhance" their happiness with the surgery, but not the other way round.
But ugh I got into rambling again

But I guess it's natural that most people are being pretty perfectionistic when it comes to their own appearance and are very rarely entirely happy, everyone has their good and their bad days..

It is funny how I tell this girl how perfect she is in my eyes. I mean that genuinely too, its not like I feel like I'm accepting her flaws. Her flaws are part of the beauty. But when she says the same about me I cant believe it lol. It's genuinely hard for me to see anything positive about myself when it comes to appearance. I have struggled with my weight which doesnt help and am always striving to get to some sort of target. But as you said about those studies I have been no happier when I have managed to slim down.
I hope to show on some poems I write also that these things happen with men as well as women, especially nowadays. We have to deal with seeing impossibly toned men on the cover of magazines just as girls have to see photoshopped women on them.
I think in time people do realise that real beauty is on the inside anyway. The beauty of getting to know someone inside out.
Between you and me (and anyone else reading this public comment lol) I cant be with the girl i love. Its really hard to move on because i have fallen in love with her in every way. Silly little things that go way beyond how she looks. I could get a date with a wonderful, beautiful girl and it just wouldnt feel the same right now because even though she has many qualities its not the girl i have fallen for.
lol now i am rambling on a whole other level.

Ich finde da können ruhig noch dutzende Gif's mit solchen wichtigen Messages kommen
und was die Bearbeitung angeht: simpel, aber genial 
die Umgebung lenkt nicht von der Message ab (und ist eh kaum zu sehen^^) , die unterschiedliche Schrift (I'm pretty und Sick) sticht auch hervor und ist gut gelungen, der Bauch ist eh nice und kann sich sehen lassen
Einziger "Kritikpunkt": Mir kommt das leicht pixelig vor (?) also keine Ahnung ob das gewollt so ist oder nicht, aber was solls^^
Das könnte noch so schlecht bearbeitet sein, die Message ist wichtig!
Wobei eure Sachen sowieso immer sehr hochwertig und einfach toll sind, finde ich

Das mit dem "pixeligen" hab ich selbst schon gemerkt, nur da das Video (für das gif) mit meinem Handy gemacht wurde, musste nach der Bearbeitung die Qualität etwas dran glauben, es hat mich auch etwas geärgert, aber so tragisch fand ichs jetzt nicht (du kennst mich, ich bin manchmal sehr faul..)
Vielleicht "optimiere" ich es ja auch noch irgendwann einmal mit besserer Quali, ich hab mir vorgenommen, alte Sachen vielleicht teils zu "reloaden", wenn ich etwas Zeit hab und/oder mir die Ideen ausgehen..
Die mit der du gerade redest und die, die im gif ist, ist Lena (ich hab das gif aber auch eiiiigentlich in meinen Ordner gepackt)

Ja, man merkt es halt, aber wirklich schlimm ist es nicht oder so 
aber dann lass bitte die alten Sachen zusätzlich noch da - also ich finde es gibt nichts schlimmeres, wenn einem etwas gefällt und dann wird es überarbeitet und das Ursprüngliche (Foto oder was auch immer ist) ist nicht mehr da und das Neue mag man dann nicht so - aber ist nur meine Meinung
Ich muss gestehen, wenn ich durch meine Deviations durchgehe, sehe ich eben nur dass es etwas neues von Mexicanpedo gibt und dann guck ich nicht mehr nach in welchem Ordner das ist und so, sry
