Well, I have been trying to find some interesting comic-idea that I could implement with the other Mega's, just because I like drawing them. So, this carefully put-out scenario came about, some long-long time ago. And I finally was able to put it together!
It's probably obvious now that I am fond of themes involving either family, and or bonds. So, ideas relating to being together or being separated comes a lot to-mind for me, especially when it comes to crossing over worlds as what Smash tends to do. I mentioned before that the other Mega-incarnations that aid the little Megaman in his Final Smash have to stay over at Nintendo for their role, just for the convenience and whatnot. Despite how they do enjoy themselves downtown and such, visiting friends and/or family back home is kind complicated to do being that the distance between Nintendo and CAPCOM are apparently a long ways away.
And since they're all needed for the Smash Program, going to-n-fro isn't so easy to plan out between fights, huh?
So, this comic was sorta to give an idea of how this would affect one of our blue Supporters here. Namely, I picked X.
Besides that, I did wanna draw some warm-feeling comic involving him and his friend Zero, just because I never thought of doing so before. Not to mention, this comic was going to be slightly longer with a brief beginning that would've let me draw X in that police officer's uniform again, bu~t I was worried that would be too unnecessarily long-winded for a start.
Perhaps another time for that outfit. ( ~' v')~
It was pretty interesting, though, to try transitioning between two different places (and I don't just mean room-to-room, but Nintendo-to-CAPCOM) in a single comic, along with playing with certain touches such as lighting in a completely dark room. I really just did a bare minimum on that instead of going overboard and risking the inks.
Ack! Before I get off-topic again, all I really wanna say is that so much thoughts-n-things were really in-mind that I wanted to implement into this one comic: casual setting with some friends, character bonding and relationships, and the like.
And with that, the moral of the story is "Hub seems to know the answer to everything".
Really, I always thought the kid had some good intuition, being a helper program and all that, right~?

I try not to make any blatant repeats of ideas, unless I have good reason or parallels to do so. But I'm sure I can find other ways to play with the brotherly bond between Lan and Hub in a future idea.

X being the only one affected makes him seem a little selfish, I mean the only person he's missing is Zero! What happened to Axl! Let's not forget Hub doesn't get to see his own brother, plus he has a bunch of netnavi friends who live in the internet he also misses. (like his rivals, protoman.exe and bass.exe) Geo's ENTIRE GAME revolves about the idea of how important bonds are, and how he opens up to others and makes all sorts of relationships. Besides a group of best friends, he also has a mother and father who love him very much!! and let's not forget loneliest one of all. Even if volnutt went back to his game, he still wouldn't be able to see any of his family or friends because he would still BE STUCK ON THE MOON! lmao your not the only one who feels lonely X. Oh come now, just because this is the only thing that's here in the comic doesn't mean nothing else occurs with the other boys. This is just a scenario focusing on X is all, no need to run me over with the nitpicking, or to invalidate one's own feelings with other ones. They all have their fair share of hardship and I'm in no way intending to ignore that here.
(Also, Axl is in the comic, his bit is already established between those three.)

Well, if I had to make a comic for every single character who had a hardship, that'd just be me writing the history of the universe or something. I just thought it would've been already known folks had their fair share, not to mention doing it over-n-over would make the idea feel overdone.
If it helps, I had meant to intend that the other boys already had used Hub's communuications system to reach their love ones. X just never took to that as he spends most of his time working his days out. Though, I'm not really one to explicitly says that stuff in comics, as it would sound very wordy.
So, I leave it up to everybuddy else to consider it. Nothing much else there.
But no worries, fellow Devi. Everyone has their right to say a thing, and I'm totally cool with that.

I really like how you build the settings here in the comic - it really helps driving the different feels of both worlds.Β
When looking how you establish the settings related to Sm4sh, I can say I have thought the same here and there. Maybe between certain "tournaments" there's certain break times where all the cast go back at their homes to settle down and manage their ordinary lives before next "official" ones? I'd see them being the popular tournaments coming up on internet featured in Smashboards now and then.Β
Still, seeing X bode homesickness had me bit in feels. It's really sweet how he has these great friends around. (I can see 'em being Β at Onett Pizza, hahahah)

Ah yes, Hub was built to help others. It's just in his nature as a Navi and also an older brother.
I do see the Smash Program (as I call them, mind others) as a worldwide event almost pertaining to major sports in the game world that people love watching either in-person or through television. So that stuff kinda prioritizes for those who partake in its being, thus making a bit of a tight schedule. Especially, as you said, for days like Tourneys and the like.
Of course, X is certainly quite emotional for a robot-- evident since he was intended to have a thought capacity like us, so this sort of scenario seemed so well to demonstrate how that works for him. Also, I just wanted to show some more friendly developments in a comic somehow.
Ah, honestly, I couldn't think of a notable pizza restaurant because I hardly knew one. So I had that as a generic spot, but totally I think Onett Pizza would be a perfect spot for the first half of this comic's setting~!

Heheh, no problem! I guess it's because I thought of the same thing, and while I was out of ideas first, I was suddenly reminded of Earthbound's modern world and how hamburger and pizza restaurants. Heck, I spun my headcanon with Eagleland having McDonalds-style fast food brand called "Turbo Burger" that would be based on Street Fighter-series with it's selection of fast food names. Sadly that's about it because I don't play the series that much, ahahah. But I just thought it'd be cute for them have the toys based on the Street Fighter-cast.(And sometimes promotional World Circuit Boxer-themed food like "Little Macs". *Knockout Punched*Β Β I thought Ness would be a fan of those and recognize Mac from the "hamburgers he picked from the trash".
Yeah, that's a lot what I thought too! Sometimes it had me thinking how it builds itself "behind the scenes". It makes for neat story fodder, but I'm really in a mean writing block after trying to hop on writing again. But I try to not give up on it. I sometimes think it's just me having reptilian instincts of not jumping on something I want to do because I'm not feeling entirely confident on doing it well. Ah me and my still perfectionist mind. (-;<>; -);;
In anycase I tend to imagine all the folk withing the Smash Program be allowed to travel on anyplace in Nintendoverse they desire (wow) as they're called in to either train those grounds or just re-engineer the places for other sorts of tourneys and whatnot. Also because they'd love to travel and sight-see the places together around. But I'm sure they'll always stop at Wuhu Island, most preferably.
And oh yes! Maan, it's been too long since I played Battle Network... I wonder when to get back to it again! Hopefully sometime! (But my mind's full of Tower of Druaga now - but I guess since you watch my Tumblr all the time... (-lwl-); Β )
It's quite something tho, a Reploid feeling homesickness... It's makes them feel almost endearing but like I said, it has me in feels. From what I've seen from MMX-series, there's some stuff like this related on this. I'd have quite a time watching those. (Γ³^Γ²-)

It totally adds nicely to how various places can "cross-over" in that sort of perspective.
And yes, while I do get tons of random fuzzy-ideas in my head whilst I do random daily-duties, I usually tell myself to carefully pick out the best, most meaningful shorts so I don't just accidentally make re-churns of the "same thing". I'm really trying not to be labeled "repetitive", if you know what I mean.
It sadly wracks at my brain mercilessly, that word. ( ; ~; )
But I guess a positive of that sorta self-pickiness helps to put more effort into the chosen ideas to be executed and conveyed, ensuring the message gets through without using words you would consider for an essay.
So despite the long hours of "should this-or-that", these really do feel worth it in the end.
Sometimes what does help, is just sleep on it. Think about the idea you may have in mind for some while, and nurture it. Like, these comics I did here, they were actually conceived some many weeks ago. They just took time to let me decide whether or not I should make something of it. ( ' v')b
Of course, I don't mean to nag or push you into doing things right away or when you don't feel comfortable yet!

Ah, of course! It really seems that he finds something in X that lets him open up, even in the paper-thin slightest. And that also appears to be mutual. So, trying not to make it seem odd-- more so relevant-- I wanted to portray that relation between the two Reploids with some possible scenario.
