Personality Traits: Sagely, Noble and Compassionate

Bio: Maurice was the middle child of triplet siblings.
      Like his brothers, he served in 'The Great Mobian Conflict',
      the Civil War between the Mobian races that resulted in the formation of Mobotropolis
      which awarded him knighthood for his courage and bravery.

      Because of his "nobility", he was chosen by the monarchs of Mobodoon
      to wed their only daughter, Aleena, and rule alongside her as King.
      and, while the two hedgehog royals did care for one another..
      Maurice always suspected her heart belong to another (who, she did not say)

      Tragically (or, fortunately) Maurice became seriously ill,
      and, eventually died just DAYS before The Great Mobian/Overlander War began.
      he left behind three children: Sonic, Manic and Sonia.

      However, Maurice's quest did not end with his death.
      his soul becoming one with the mystical Chaos Force, he continued to exist as a spirit.
      While his attempts to reach out to each of his family during 'Robotnik's Regime' all but failed.
      he WAS successful in contacting GUN Commander Alan Zander.
      the human friend of Aleena (who later became her second husband in time)

      Finding an odd connection with the Human.
      he opted to be his Spirital Mentor, and aided Alan in his quest to restore Freedom to ALL of Mobius.
      It was Maurice's spirit that guided Alan to the mystical sword "The Star Saber"
      and, serves as a guide when he tasked Alan with attaining the legendary Chaos Emeralds.

      Maurice was present for Alan Zander and Aleena Hedgehog's wedding
      (which was the first union between a Mobian and Overlander in Mobius History)
      and, gave the newly weds his blessing and approval.

      Currently, Maurice continues to serve as Alan's mentor
      (and, due to his mastery over the Chaos Force..can converse with Aleena, and the rest of his family)
      often giving words of wisdom and even actively aiding Alan whenever he has need of it.

As my Sonic Canon blends the different continuities of Sonic the hedgehog into ONE Universe.
I had to retcon Jules and Bernie being Sonic's Aunt and Uncle, instead of his parents
(as Manic and Sonia are his siblings, and as such: Queen Aleena is his mother)

For that reason, I created King Maurice (who is named after Sonic's middle name "Maurice")
Maurice is brother to Uncle Chuck and Jules Hedgehog.
like them, was a Knight (which explains how he became King by Royal Betrothal)

In order to make Maurice unique.
I took cue from Chuck and Jules, and gave Maurice distictive "hair"
as Chuck as bushy eyebrows and a mucstache,
and, Jules has hair on his head, I gave Maurice a small beard.
and, as he is Aleena's husband.
his attire his sort of a male version of Aleena's royal garbs.

For those who don't really know who 'James Garrett' (my chosen voice actor) is.
he previous voices Avatar Roku on 'Avatar' and Nocturne on 'Danny Phantom'
