Shard: "well..I was born Yesterday."

After I did my 'Metallux' redesign, I decided to try my hand at SHARD.

In my Sonicverse revision, I based much of Shard's character and backstory
on The Vision, from Marvel's The Avengers, and the "Age of Ultron" film version.

Like the MCU version of Ultron, Metallux has a twisted viewpoint of bringing 'world peace',
and wants to Evolve, become better..PERFECT.

Metallux goes through many different designs (rejects becoming his drones)
until finally settling upon the "S.H.A.R.D." model (*Superior Hedgehog Augmented Retcon Design.)

(*give me a break, here. I am NOT good at acronyms.)

The prototype is however intercepted by the Freedom Fighters,
who then make the controversal decision to reprogram S.H.A.R.D. to fight for them.

By implanting Sonic's own brainwave patterns to overwrite Metallux' flawed programming,
Shard is reborn as a genuine android replica of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Shard faces Metallux (in his "Ultimate" form) in battle.

And, while evenly matched..Shard proves to be the superior "Metal Sonic",
and soundly defeats Metalux, saving the planet falling to an Age of Metal.
