Dark Samus is My favorite Video Game VillainReally wanted to emphasise how Monstrous and Scary it is
Dark Samus at the end of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Started as a sketch in my Sketchbook ( [link] ) spent about 5 hours in Photoshop CS3 (on a MAC)

Very nice how you made her transparent and brought back some more alien touches to her whereas most make her too Human in appearance, such as the elongated neck and vaguely angular head, people seem to forget she's not an exact copy of Aran herself and that she's a Metroid.

Gah, it is SO HARD to find art of her depicting her as what she really is. So sick of seeing pictures of her where she's depicted as a darkly colored Samus clone. It's like no one gets that Dark Samus is Metroid Prime reformed with the Phazon Suit it stole and a smidgen of Samus' DNA that came with that. :C
I really do like this. It shows her for what she really is and has a great style to it as well. I like what you did to the design, especially since it overall gives more of a creepy feeling and mimics the Essence Form she had prior. It's not screaming that "Oh it's just Prime in a suit." Props to you on this wonderful piece.

I'm so glad you were able to understand it the way it was intended, haha. I always thought it would be cool if dark Samus could "morph" its shape, while still keeping its same structure. I mean, I did come squirting out of a Phazon puddle, haha

That doesn't look like final Dark Samus, that looks like an elongated/more badass version of Dark Samus, which looks better as a boss ;O

looks a wee bit awkward with that neck, but as always, your works are awesome. those 'inner workings' or veins remind me of metroid primes second form
