Basically, the Trojans were actually near destruction by the Hittites. So the Achaeans did them a favour.

As far as I'm aware, they didnt make it. The "sea peoples" ruined their empire. But they had plans to, as said above.

Thank you! Yeah, it really is sad that the Greek presence in Anatolia ended. Its a result of massive genocides on both Greeks and Armenians after World War I.Β
