That's weird, I used a 1921 map of Europe as base

many base maps that you can find on the internet are wrong because people who made them didn't know or just didn't recall about this minor border change (which is actually minor only on the paper, because the border at the Alps water divide was strongly symbolical, and its breaking in 1947 was painful for those who cared about it). Nevertheless a couple of years ago I made this map to show and correct this widespread mistake ^^'

I can relate to the first thing. It's almost imposible to find an accurate map of the Vicerroyalty of Rio de La Plata (Even in our history books)

No problem, it's not your fault, that's more those who make base maps fault. I know that's a minor change but base maps should include it anyway, I mean after all base maps are mainly on accuracy of the borders and nothing more and if you make something wrong your mistake will reflect on those who use your maps for their works. People should document theirselves better before publishing base maps
And think, on the web you could even find base map of today Europe that still have pre WWII border between France and Italy!
It was symbolic because it matched perfectly a natural border which was well established all along history, and marked since centuries (millennia actually) the righteous border between French and Italian regions.
