It's the Jersey Devil I was searching around wikipedia for some interesting fantasy creature and the jersey seemed interesting, which led to me wondering what would happen if villagers happened to capture it (psh) so I imagined it roped up in a stable of some sort, blindfolded, and wings tied up. I read a lot of different stories about it and tried to combine them all together, including some dark mist, weird shadows, and glowing eyes? Therefore I didn't purposefully try and make the background sloppy looking o.OI feel like I disappointed myself this time...I wasn't very enthusiastic during the process of drawing and coloring and I guess it shows in the art. Maybe it's just me.
However, I did get attached to the idea of having a jersey devil as a character
So until I decide on a name, he shall be deemed....mephoria's jersey devil! 
I promise the next picture will be bright and sunny and happy!

I created a dragon-like creature who shares some of the discriptions of the Jersey Devil, and the species is call Death Furys. A Death Fury has a long slender snake-like body and, when standing on all fours, are about 3 ft tall. They are also about 6 to 9 ft long, contain long necks and snake-like tails, pointed heads and two sets of wings. The first set is the major set of wings, and is located at the shoulder, and the wing span of the major set is about as wide as the body is long. The second set is on the hips and is aobut 1/3 or 1/4 of the major wings width. These wings act more for stablizing the Death Fury in flight. The wings also do something similar to photosynthesis in plants, when light hits the wing, a chemical is made and stored in a 'third lung', which fuels the Death Fury's fire. The head is pointed and looks like an arrow head shape with two small horns above the ears. (Think of a cows head with a pointed beak) Some Death Fury's can grow antlers, but it is really rare. Death Fury's come in varieties of different colors, and always live in groups. However, a Death Fury is a pretty peaceful creature the would rather avoid a fight and only attacks when it is mistreated and feels treatened. Death Fury's also have a human's level of intellegence.
One Death Fury is named Wilsmon, and he is black with a dark-grey strip dowm his back and around the base of his neck. One possible story idea about Wilsmon is that he was captured by a secret organization and put in a cell next to a young hybrid dragon girl. If you wouldn't mind, I would like to use your Jersey Devil in my story as Wilsmons other neighbor.
