I have to submit it for the contest because it fits the theme perfectly.
This is inspired by a song called "Exodus" by Evanescence. I loved the song since the first time I heard it. I could really relate to it at that time (before I graduated from high school,) because I was under a lot of pressure to make good grades, but I felt like there are so much more in life that I'd love to learn and accomplish besides math and science. And high school is a place that I never feel "belong." The things I drew on the wings are little things I created before, they're things that belong to me, and they're part of my dreams.

You did an excellent job on the clothing and shading in general - it's simple, yet so very effective. The details, such as the fishnet and little buckles, just make it all the more wonderful. Of course, I think the most striking part of the image is the wings, which contains compelling imagery... Really makes me wonder exactly what this picture means for you, and how exactly the music inspired you to make it... Keep up the great work!

The only small neg I could find was the fishnets are a bit out of place... maybe if they were a bit smoother it would look a bit more in place with the softness of the rest. Other then that, one killer piece.

Wow i love all of the depth you put in the skin and the bright pink against black really makes this one pop out at ya. her clothes and the designs in the shape of wings really gives this one true originality. winning or not winning, you should be proud of this, hun!
