The stars have aligned and I managed to finally finish a new piece. It is mostly a study in which I somewhat tried to follow Shaddy's approach, big thanks to him and his insightful videos. Basically I tried to simplify things a little and be bolder with my marks. Unfortunately in the end when I exported the file and moved it off the cintiq to the second monitor, the colours seemed all off and garish...but since I don't really know which display to trust, I am leaving it as it is. Hopefully the colours look okay for you and not so super saturated.Anyhow, hope you guys like it. I do actually have loads of almost finished pieces laying around, I just need some time to finish them...will try my best to not make it another half year til the next submission.

it's a nice piece. quiet. i was just skiing in Colorado, and this reminds me of being near the top of the mountain peak, looking around, with only the wind in my ear. but this isn't a lonely piece.
the colors are a bit darker than i would have expected, but it makes sense with the lighting. i also like how you were able to imbue the image with as much color as you did.

I'll be honest here: I find the subject of this picture rather dull, but that's just me, I think. As a Norwegian, I see this sort of scene very, very often. I've even LIVED this scene, actually (though that was quite a few years (and pounds) ago).

Ja der mann hat's einfach drauf, ich liebe sein zeug. War ganz interessant mal so einen ganz anderen ansatz zu probieren. Aber so wirklich zufrieden bin ich noch nicht, werd das wohl noch ein wenig mehr ΓΌben mΓΌssen
